LineupMux has no accounts with us, runs no analytics, carries no advertising, and sends us nothing. There is no server of ours for it to talk to: the only places it connects to are the ones you add.
What is stored, and where
Everything LineupMux keeps is kept only on your device, in the application's own data area:
- the servers you add, and the name you give this device;
- the sign-in tokens those servers give it, in the system's secure storage;
- your favourites, the channels you watched last, and your preferences;
- a copy of the channels and the programme guide, so the app opens on what it had while a server cannot be reached;
- the configuration of its built-in server: the sources and the lineups you set up in it.
The built-in server
The app carries a server of its own that runs on your device. It is reachable only from the device itself until you open Link Remote, which opens it to your local network so that a phone on that network can reach it. It is never reachable through us, because nothing passes through us.
Where it connects
LineupMux connects to the servers you add and to the sources you set up: a tuner on your network, a playlist, a stream, a programme guide, the Radio Browser directory or the iptv-org channel index. Those are run by you or by others, not by us. Like any request on a network, they see your device's address and what it asks for, and their own terms apply.
When you sign in to a server, the name and password or key you type go to that server only. The token it gives back stays on your device, and Sign out of this server gives it back.
With Link Remote, a phone on the same network is paired by a short code that works once, for a minute. The phone talks to the device directly, and the device does the asking of its servers, so the phone is given none of their tokens.
On Android TV
The app can show your lineups as inputs of the television's own channel list, with their programme guide, and as rows on the home screen. That information is written to the television, on the device, where the system holds it. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
Buying the app
Google Play handles the purchase, under Google's own privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
Permissions
Network. To reach the servers and the sources you add, and for the built-in server to serve this device and, through Link Remote, your phone.
Keeping the screen awake. The screen does not sleep, or turn to the screen saver, while a channel plays.
Television guide data (Android TV). To put your lineups and their guide in the television's own channel list, and to keep them up to date.
Running after a restart. So the guide the television holds keeps being brought up to date after the device restarts.
The app does not ask for your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
Children
LineupMux is not directed at children, and it asks nobody for personal information, children included.
Deleting your data
Clearing the app's data, or uninstalling it, removes everything it stored, including its built-in server's configuration. Signing out of a server gives back the token it kept for it. What a server you run keeps is on that server, and yours to remove.
There is no copy of ours to ask us to delete: we hold none of your data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
